Née en 1986 à New York, Sarah J. Maas est diplômée de l'Université d'Hamilton. Elle vit aujourd'hui en Pennsylvanie.

Sa première série, Keleana (La Martinière Jeunesse, 2013), a été publiée dans 15 pays et traduite dans 23 langues.
